But that's not the case at the Riedlwirt! There are numerous nearby things to do even when the weather doesn't cooperate. Salzwelten salt mines in Hallein and Hallstatt: Discover the "white gold" treasure chest – see mysterious mining galleries and learn about salt at the world's oldest exhibition mine.

Eisriesenwelt ice cave in Werfen: Hike through the world's largest ice cave, be amazed by the fascinating ice structures and be captivated by the fairytale-like ice palace.

Manro – Classic Auto & Music Museum: Spend hours observing the many vintage cars and motorcycles at the Manro museum located in Koppl. Music fans will also find something to enjoy here: nostalgic musical instruments and music boxes are also on display.

Dachstein ice cave: This icy palace in Dachstein fascinates with powerful glaciers, icy mountains and even ice chapels.

We are the perfect homebase for all of these rainy-day excursions. Not only do we have comfortable rooms and a delicious breakfast buffet but we boast the ideal location for day trips and excursions. Even if you don't stay overnight, you can still join us for a tasty breakfast in our restaurant before you start on your day trip or stop by for lunch or dinner.

We will be happy to give you tips for the perfect bad-weather excursion. We look forward to meeting you!

We are no longer a restaraurant around the clock and there are tons of reasons for that. But we are still hosts with heart! Whether the classic "Stammtisch", a company hike, family parties of all kind. We cook for you with passion and professionality. Flexibility is our strenght and with pre-registration in time we are (almost all the time) here for you ;)!

For our hotel guests we cook daily (from September to June except Sundays) from 17.30 to 20.30!
